Vinyasa 101 Yoga
Intermediate | 60 minutes
Not too slow and not too fast, this deep, exploratory, Goldilocks class provides the student with the underlying basics of how a vinyasa Yoga practice works. Vinyasa Yoga is a method of practice where the asana (physical poses) are presented in a sequence, flowing one to the next. It focuses on aligning one’s breath and spiritual intention with movement. There is some spotlight on alignment, with the main emphasis being on steady-paced breathing and the biomechanics of transitioning into and out of asanas gracefully and safely. Vinyasa 101 classes provide a good transition for a beginner student from the more basic Hatha Yoga to Jivamukti Yoga classes, but also provide an opportunity for a more advanced student to refine their skills through the more detailed exploration of asanas and how they flow together.
Suitable for beginners, but open to all levels of practitioner, so expect variations and options to be offered for everyone to finesse their own physical awareness. The length is 60 minutes.
